External Sample Ports

External sample kits let maintenance teams pull regular transformer oil samples from outside the cabinet through dedicated ports, so there’s no need to access energized internal components.

Inspection windows (Viewing and IR Windows) let you visually inspect internal transformer components without opening the enclosure or exposing personnel to energized parts.

Transformer Gauges

Tap Changer

Tap changers allow operators to adjust a transformer’s voltage ratio to maintain the correct secondary voltage when the incoming utility voltage is too high or too low.

Loadbreak Switch

Fan Package (ONAN/ONAF)

ONAN/ONAF fan packages provide additional transformer cooling by circulating air across the radiator system to help dissipate heat under higher loads.

Transformer Bushings

Transformer bushings are insulated components that allow energized conductors to safely pass through the grounded transformer tank without electrical contact to the enclosure.

Transformer Oil

Transformer fluid, including mineral oil and FR3 fluid, provide insulation and remove heat from internal components to maintain safe operating temperatures and prevent electrical failure.

Bayonet Fuses

Bayonet fuses protect padmount transformers from overheating, overloads, and low-level faults by interrupting current before damage occurs.

Pressure Relief Device

Pressure relief valves (PRV) automatically release excess internal pressure in a transformer tank to prevent damage or failure from over-pressurization.
